FREE Flu Shots at Walgreens and CVS


Walgreens is distributing up to $1 million worth of seasonal flu shots to uninsured individuals across the country. Candidates who visit a Wellness Tour bus location before November 15, 2009 will receive a FREE flu shot voucher. It's good at any Walgreens pharmacy or Take Care Clinic through November 30, 2009.

Requirements include uninsured patients age 18 and older only. Influenza vaccination applies to seasonal flu shots only. Vouchers distributed in select markets, excluding Puerto Rico, on a first-come, first-serve basis while supplies last. One voucher per person, per bus visit.

If you have had recent job loss and are uninsured you may qualify for the Walgreens Take Care Recovery Plan. This applies to any Take Care Clinic patient that loses his or her job on or after March 31 and has no health insurance. Any other individual that visits a Take Care Clinic as a patient after March 31, and then loses his or her job and is uninsured, may qualify for the offer for the remainder of 2009.

CVS will provide 100,000 free seasonal flu shots to the unemployed. The program includes on-site flu clinics at its career center locations. CVS will give out vouchers for the free shots at some One-Stop Career Centers sponsored by the Labor Department. CVS also is distributing vouchers for the free flu shots at CVS or MinuteClinic locations.

The free program will begin in October, visit the CVS Free Flu Shot Program online in October for more information.

For the insured flu shots are also available everyday at a CVS Minuite Clinic, you also receive a $100 CVS coupon book when you get your flu shot at CVS.
