Best of Rite Aid 11/22 - 11/28

These are the best budget saving deals I see at Rite Aid this week.

Remember to print out the $5 off $25 coupon here.

OK, so I realize that this list looks rather pathetic compared to usual. I will look back through again, but this is what I saw my first couple of times through the ad. . . I will add more if I find more. There are still a couple of good deals though.

Note: This ad is only for the weekly deals. The Black Friday deals will be listed in a separate post.

FREE Lifesavers Bagged Candy at Rite Aid

There is a rumor that some Rite Aids have specific flavors of bagged Lifesavers priced at just $1 per bag. The bags advertise a coupon inside, which is for $1 off and expires on 11/30/09. After you purchase the first bag at $1, you can use the coupon inside to get another bag for FREE.

I'm planning to go to my local Rite Aid tomorrow to pick up some things; I'll check on the Lifesavers while I'm there.

.79¢ St.Ives Body Wash at Rite Aid

You can pick up St. Ives Bodywash for just .79¢ each by stacking coupons. Here's how:

Best of Rite Aid 11/15 - 11/21

The Rite Aid Gift of Savings will be returning next week (Nov 22nd).  The way the program works is, you spend a specified dollar amount and you get a gift check back to use in Rite Aid.

• Send $25.00 -$50.00  Get $5.00 back
• Spend $51.00 to $100.00 Get $10.00 back
• Spend 0ver $100, get $20.00 back

Remember, the amounts are calculated BEFORE coupons!

I'm really excited about the program coming back! The last Gift of Savings Rite Aid had (October?), I made a $36 profit on the over $100 worth of merchandise that I took home for free. I just received my $20 gift certificate last week, so now I have that to use to buy more things that I am going to get for FREE (or possibly even make money on).

You can print $5.00/$25.00 or $4.00/$20.00 coupons HERE.

Another Suggestion
To get the Real Simple Rebate, purchase 3 packages of the Quilted Northern Ultra Plush Toilet Paper. It needs to be 3 packages to reach the $15. I suppose you could mix and match to meet the $15. Then use something else to fill to get the $5/25 or $5/20 coupons.

If buying 3 and using the 5/20 Q, get something else priced at least $2.03, pay $6 (3.97 for TP and 2.03). Get $5 rebate, plus if whatever you get has a rebate as well, then it all could be free. It looks like from the scenario above, buying 4 packs you pay $1 more, but it is still free after rebate (well you do have a little tax to pay).

The Real Simple Rebate can be found HERE! Submit this $5.00 rebate  and get 4 for FREE!  Just remember this has to be mailed by 11/19.

Mail your receipt(s), postmarked by 11/19/09, along with your name and address clearly printed on a 3″ x 5″ card to: Real Simple“Holiday Savings $5 Rebate Offer,” c/o USSC, 625 Panorama Trail (Bldg. 2, Suite 100), Rochester, NY 14625. Please allow 6 – 8 weeks for delivery.

Limited-time offer, while supplies last. Limit one rebate per household. Purchase of qualifying products must be made between 10/12/09 and 11/15/09 and must equal $15.00 or more. Proof of purchase must be in the form of the original store receipt(s) with the qualifying products and purchase date circled and must be postmarked by 11/19/09 and received no later than 11/21/09.

I Made a $6.87 Profit on a $97.66 Rite Aid Shopping Trip

I did it! After some serious coupon juggling, I managed to get 3 jumbo packs of Huggies plus a bunch of other stuff for better than free – I actually made a profit on my Rite Aid shopping trip today.

I had to break the purchases out into three separate transactions so that I could use three $5 off $20 coupons. The shopping trip went like this…

Purchased :

Huggies Supreme Jumbo Pack (reg. $11.99) - $11.00

Proantinox Liquid (reg. $9.99) - $6.99

(2) GE Extra Soft Light Bulbs – 4 pack (reg. $7.98) - $4.00

Couponing 101 - Coupon Lingo

Welcome to Couponing 101 - Coupon Lingo!

I have decided to add a bonus lesson to this week's e-course because I have several readers who are new to couponing, and may not be familiar with the terminology used by most of the other couponing and sample websites.

Some of  the acronyms and abbreviations are pretty easy to figure out, but then there are others that stump even the most experienced couponers. I try not to use a lot of abbreviations in my postings - I would rather spell things out so that they are easier for people to understand - but you are bound to come across some of the terms as you use more and more coupons more often.

Here is a list of some of the most common terminology:

• B1G1 or BOGO - Buy One Get One, usually in reference to Buy One Get One Free
• Blinkies - Coupon dispensed near a product in the store  from a "blinking" red box
• Catalina - A coupon dispensed at the register with your receipt

• ECB - Extra Care Buck; catalina's available from CVS
• ESB - Easy Saver book; available at Walgreens
• ESC - Easy Saver Coupon; found in Walgreens Easy Saver Catalog
• FAR - Free after rebate
• IP - Internet Printable - a coupon you print off the internet
• IVC - Instant Value Coupon; usually found in Walgreens, CVS, and Rite Aid fliers

• MFR -  Manufacturer
• MQ - Manufacturer coupon
• MIR - Mail in Rebate
• One Per Purchase - Means that you can use "one" for each and every item purchased
• One Per Transaction - Means you can only use "one" with that order regardless of how many of the item you may have

• OOP or OOPs - Out Of Pocket
• P&G - Proctor & Gamble; usually in reference to the Sunday supplement coupons
• Peelie - Coupon that you peel off the package
• Q - Coupon; generally refers to a manufacturer's coupon unless specified otherwise
• RP - Red Plum coupon insert in Sunday newspaper
• RR - Register Rewards; catalinas available at Walgreens
• SASE - Self addressed stamped envelope
• SCR - Single check rebate; Rite Aids rebate system

• SS - Smart Source coupon insert in Sunday newspaper
• Stacking - Combining manufacturer's coupons with store coupon's to get additional savings
• Tear Pad - A pad of refund forms or coupons found hanging on a store shelf or display
• WYB - When You Buy

Rite Aid Gift of Savings Program is Back

The Rite Aid Gift of Savings program returns this Sunday, September 13th. This program won't be advertised until Sunday, September 20th, but the qualification period begins this Sunday. So make sure you save your receipts from next week.

Enter all your Rite Aid receipts from September 13th through October 17th into the Gift of Savings website when you shop. (I will get you that link as soon as the site goes live.) There are some purchase exclusions, but you should enter all your receipts just in case. After you have spent the required amount, you will receive a Gift of Savings Certificate for the specified rewards amount:

• Spend $25-$50 and get a $5.00 Gift of Savings Certificate
• Spend $50.01-$100 and get a $10.00 Gift of Savings Certificate
• Spend over $100 and get a $20.00 Gift of Savings Certificate

The Gift of Savings certificates are just like any other gift certificate. They can be used in lieu of cash, and can be combined with any specials or Freebates to save you even more money.
